Visit the Mailbox on the North End of Wrightsville Beach. This is a special mailbox where people from all over come to write in the mailbox notebook next to the dunes. Spend some time ready the entries and then leave something behind. Journaling is so very therapeutic. Sometimes people write a letter to loved ones, reflections, confessions, quotes, thoughts, visions – really all kinds of goodness in there.  The mailbox is maintained by student ambassadors from UNC Wilmington preserving the tradition and the love story of this cherished time capsule overlooking the Atlantic.

  1. Picnic in the Park

Pack a picnic and get some fresh air at Carolina Beach State Park.  The park includes historical and nature exhibits. Carolina Beach State Park is an eye-opening place to explore but more importantly just a peaceful place to relax and take in the coastal environment. So pack your favorite snacks and blanket and sit in serenity with nature.
